Hopefull this time my typing won't "time out" and I don't have to re-type this long thing AGAIN .

I am returning after my second long departure. While being back all of 3 hrs I ran into this "Baldguy" pretending to be an Elf by the name of "Thom" with a bag full of goodies and great nack for mentoring. He mentioned this great place for info an friends, So ofcourse I had to stop by an say "HI".

Now you may be wondering, " Who IS this ?" Well, better question is, who WAS this tard'o?

I used to be known as "Galdar of the Central Region". Yes, I WAS a Councilor for the last 2 yrs of the program. I was also "Glurkun Half-Orc" Mercenary outcast, Member of the "Council of Sin" bent on revenge against those that wronged him, leader of the "Blood Axe Tribe" / "Blood Axe of Ilshenar". Oddly enough Glurkun was also a Companion, may still be I'll have to check. He was also featured on "UO Spotlight" for the story I wrote when "Ilshenar" came out.

In reality, My name is Wayne, 43, 8 kids, 3 grand kids. I was a designer at Ford in Dearborn Mich for 22 yrs, Now I design Yachts in the Seattle area. I began playing "Ultima 1" back in 79/80 on an Apple. Played everything all the way thru till today. Even had the priviledge to beta a few products >cough< along the way. Fantasy wise, I'm more a Dragonlance fan then Ultima. Too bad those games blew chunks... But, ohwell

Not sure what the future will hold this time, but I would like to find a good mature band of heros, but we'll see what happens. Thom and his band of thousands may be interesting, if Kitiara (love the name btw) would have me I guess.

I was saddened to see a few things .....

1. A so called "Trainers Guild" looking for "helpers" to aid the returnees and new players that are coming along these days. The old trick of gating to the middle of nowhere in Fel to the supposed Guildhouse (that doesnt exist) prompted a fast jump back thru the gate with a real fast "Resign". I thought that practice would have been taken care of by now.

2. I wen't to my old fav housing spot - Brit swamp, wierd I know. I always had the small spot on the north edge between the road, the swamp and the mtn ridge. "Swamp Gas Forge" was my place back in the day. I was surprised to see some cash hidden away in a minor 'toon on my old account, So I ran to the swamp an quickly plopped down a custom base. As I began to "build" I was shocked to see TWIN Titans spawn on my door step. HOLY HELL BATMAN !! A run thru the swamps showed the place has really changed. Ouch this place will kill'ya quick these days!!! What's the current housing hot spots these days?

3. Old haunts .....
Brit, Vesper, etc etc. All dead. Is Luna THE place to hang and SPAM the bank these days?

Can you remember the name of the "trainer guild"? We can see what can be done.

Yes. Luna is about it for population gathering. And UO:F Cross roads (one day).

As for housing, Malas is the most open, but we can find a place anywhere. The titans you encoutered are part of the current "Candle of Love" event, and are SUPPOSED to stop spawning on each facet when the candle is lit.


To clarify about the UO:F guild, Cabe Bedlam is the GM (no relation to Thom), Kitiara is one of our higher mucky-mucks. She guilds people. I am only the merchanting arm of the guild.
