Mentor program for Lake Austin & Mentor sign up

Tabbs, Adam and I have been kicking this idea around for a while. As the guild recruiter for Lake Austin, I guess I should get it started.

This is a pilot program. We will need a list of people on lake austin who would not mind showing the ropes to new and returning players. Please read these rules, and post below if you wish to be a mentor. Mentees (new and returning players) please post in the "I would like a mentor thread"

- Rules for Mentors:

- Cannot take your mentee to fell unless that is their express wish

- Spend at least 2 hours a week with them helping them get started, for at least two weeks.

- This is NOT a guild recruiting drive. This is open to all players, if they wish to join UO:F (or any other guild) or not. We are teaching them to enjoy our shard and game, not building guild ranks. Guilding is an option, but NOT the purpose of this program.

- Equipping new players is not required, but is encouraged. All new players and mentors will recieve a discount at Paul Mart for equippage purposes. Contact me via PM or ICQ or post to let me know you are shopping.

- Mentors must be aware of different playstyles and templates. You MAY request a specific type of player to mentor.

- Rules for Mentees:

- New /Returning players: If you decide not to stay with the game, PLEASE return any items / resources loaned / given to you by your mentor. This ensures that valuable resources stay available to other new players.

- Report lack of support or shady behavior to me. We cannot really do anything to the mentor, but they will be removed from the list, and any wrong doing will be rectified.

- Be willing to research questions. Not all questions can be answered easily in game due to the amount of background knowledge required. We have an extensive (and growing ) FAQ and skills section to help you out.
