[News] Blackrock Pillar Destroyed!

Deep in the bowels of the Terethan Keep, a brave gathering of warriors mostly from the Guardians of Valhalla and the True Paladins of Sosaria, fought against overwhelming odds to defeat a mysterious vortex-like creature guarding an enigmatic structure known only as “A Blackrock Pillar.” Not one, but two of these strange beings were defeated, the second of which brought forth a powerful blast that rocked the very foundations of the room and destroyed the odd gate-like device.

While it is still unknown exactly what function this gate had or where the whirling vortices came from, it can be assumed that they may have had something to do with the rogue ophidian queen’s creation of the violent and deadly berserkers, as they had the ability to conjure forth these nasty ophidians at will. We can only hope that its destruction heralds the end of the queen’s invading forces.

Reporters note: I deeply regret being unable to show scenes from the battle. Once again, the rigors of death saw to it that my images were destroyed *grumbles something about needing a better, more durable picture taking device*

I believe that the blackrock device was the means by which the Ophidians controlled the etherial wards against teleportations in the cities under attack. Since Papua was the last under such control, if my thinking is correct then it should be free of the etherial barricade that blocked our gates and recalls, now or as soon as the etherial strings of power break.
