Looking to join a PVM guild
I was hoping to find a friendly guild to join that is mostly involved in PVM, preferably non-factioned but not a must. Anyone part of one or know of one that is currently recruiting? Thank you.

Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
your on great lakes shard?
If your on great lakes what type of guild are looking for? there are many types of PvM guilds. There are some that pole play a lot, some that do little, and some that don't. There are some that are tight knit group of friends, then there are some that are to huge to count its members and you could meet a new guildmate everyday and never get to know them because of such a large turnover of joiners and leavers. I would say if your looking for a guild to just go on hunts with I would go with the larger guilds in which there are several members on all the time. If you are looking for companionship I would try (and I will highlight try) to get into a tight knit guild. Tight knit guilds are real close and usually play about everyday. their major concerns in the game are their guildmates and doing things together. If you are looking just for being a part of the guild and hunting but not getting to know any of them I would say join one of the larger ones, you might even find a few regualrs in a large guild that you hang with the most. But nothing beats a tight knit guild that helps you out with all your problems, may take weeks or months to be accepted into one. ![]() Power is not given, it is taken! Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
Well, while I've often preferred the tight knit guilds over larger ones, I could easily go with either. I'm really just looking for information on legit guilds on GL, and who to get in contact with to join one.
If I could choose, I would prefer a guild large enough to go on hunts with, but small enough to where everyone knows one another. One that is friendly and mature, and won't randomly kill each other just for the fun of it. Last edited by Cueadan; 19th September 2007 at 06:13 PM. Reason: spelling |

Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
I would say GOF (Guild of Friends) is a good sized guild that has been around for quite a long time. they have events and guild hunts. I am not completely sure of its members but I guarantee you will see them around brit and luna.
My guild is a tight guild of about 5 highly active members and 4 or so more that play off and on. As I'm not a big fan of the huge guilds I don't know to many. GOF has been around since I started playing in 2000 so I can only guess they are very good. ![]() Power is not given, it is taken! |

Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
I'll keep a look out and see if I can catch one of their members, thank you for the info.
Just out of curiosity, is your guild looking to recruit any more members? I really enjoy the community here at UO forums and would assume anyone from here would be part of a nice guild. |

Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
You could check out Wind Riders as well (W-R). They're a larger guild, but by no means huge. They have a solid base of regulars that play every day. They also do a guild hunt weekly (all char types welcome) as well as a warrior hunt (Wednesdays, warriors only). They also have some folks that pvp regularly if you would like to try that at some point. They also have a large alliance of guilds, so you can pretty much do hunts with alliance members daily. Last week I did 7 straight runs on Lady M. FYI.
They are all adult players, and are willing to teach/learn with you. They are not a guild to go to looking for gold/armor/arties, as they expect their members to at least be self sufficient in the game. If you need a guild that can provide that, look to GOF or GSC...perhaps G-V as well. Last edited by jfk; 20th September 2007 at 04:31 PM. |

Re: Looking to join a PVM guild
If my guild recruits anyone it would be some one they have played with for at least a few days and trusts completely.
