On Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 11:00PM PDT (March 21 7:00AM GMT), we will deploy Client Patch 5.0.8.4

Details for the patch follow:



* Fixed issue with Heartwood not displaying

If patched correctly, your current version will display 5.0.8.4 for both clients. If you have any difficulty receiving this patch, please check the following:

Check the "Patch" directory within your Ultima Online directory (the default location is C:\Program Files\EA Games\Ultima Online\Patch).

This directory should be empty. Any files in this directory should be deleted.

Run a virus scan on your computer. Undetected viruses may cause conflicts with patching Ultima Online. For information on up-to-date virus detection software, please visit http://www.mcafee.com

UPDATE 9:06 PDT: We have a build being tested - see the next post for patch notes

UPDATE 7:20 PDT: We've pinpointed the issue (we... um, accidentally made Heartwood go away. It's not destroyed, just... gone away. We'll bring it back, promise.) We're working on a fix now - I'll post an ETA when I have one.

We've gotten reports of issues with the latest patch and we're investigating. News as I get it - stay tuned.

The publish that has just gone live on Origin and Pacific will be pushed out worldwide on each shards' next maintenance. However, the event will not be activated automatically - we will announce the beginning of the event when we turn it on. The plan is to do this tomorrow, barring any wonkiness with the latest publish.

If you are under the effects of a Scroll of Alacrity, DO NOT use a soulstone to add the affected skill to your character.

It will cause you to lose all but 1 point in that skill.


The GMs will not be able to restore the lost skill.

If you got an invite in the last day or so, and had trouble with the download links, COPY AND PASTE the links into your browser instead of clicking on them.
