Sitting in my study within my tower, The Eye of Oracle i gazed upon a mound of books and reading materials. Such an amount of information before me i simply felt lost. As though i was being smothered with false leads of this thief Ricardo... false trails and nay sayers. I sighed and set down my map of Sosaria... and i must admit to you that on this day i felt despair and firmly believed that he would never be found.

Glancing up a sparkle outside the towers battlements caught my eye as i saw something approaching me. Nervous yet unafraid i called forth magic... a magical fire began to encircle my fingertips and i crouched suddenly alarmed though when i crouched down... my fingertips grazed my chair causing it to burst into flames. Hastily i tried to put the fire out yet succeeded in only lighting my robe ablaze as well. Rather shame faced i glanced at the pigeon who stared at me in awe and wonder. After all a truely powerfull mage is something to be gazed at with respect are they not? With a huff i straightened my now black and charred robes and took the note from the pigeon. Then with shakey legs fell to the floor as i attempted to sit in my chair only to land in a pile of ashes.

It appeared that the home of this elusive thief was in fact found! Not just found but evidence was taken from there as well! In wonder and with a large smile i read on learning that it was not a band of warriors but a sole scout who did this. She wasnt attempting to be the grand hero... Just merely performing her duties and job as Scout Commander for the Township of Jhelom. With a large smile i walked to my cages and sent out pigeons in every direction to find this scout and to tell her amazing story. In the span of about a day my pigeons finally found her. I invited her to my home and this is where my... no change that... this is where HER story does begin my friends.


Sitting in my tower the interview began. At first though i must admit there didnt seem to much special about this human i was speaking too... and yet once again i was proved one. The humans of Sosaria truely are wonderfull and special creatures...

Melissa Rohan: so what would you like to know?

Well as many in the land now know that it was you who found the lair of Ricardo the Thief... Who is wanted all over the land and an enemy of the state. I just felt we should recognize the woman who did what no other could.

Melissa Rohan: well it just took some time and patience thats all

Could you perhaps tell me how you happened upon this lair?

Melissa Rohan: i can indeed learning that he was still on the run and that he had friends in many towns i decided to search each towns thief populus first of all but that yielded a blank sooo.... i headed to each town in turn thinking that a thief could disguise himself. So with this knowledge i went around and questioned EVERYBODY i found from sailor to the mayor!

I imagine this took you some time.

Melissa Rohan: I decided to start with the small towns... It did, several hours atleast, but they do say it takes a thief to catch a thief...

I seem to remember having heard that somewhere...

Melissa Rohan: well in my case an ex thief. So anyeways... I found several who knew ricardo, a guild master in minoc, a thug elsewhere, a mage in delucia and so on but they didnt know his current whereabouts so eventually after searching Cove, Skara, Delucia, Minoc, Vesper and a few other places I searched Bucs den and in the back of an inn i found a waiter. He is a grubby little man and he was very forthcoming with answers after i persuaded him he told me the password for the cave was BHULPWER i believe it was.

I dont suppose you would be willing to show me this... cave hideout that you found.


Melissa Rohan: This is the hidden entrance where you speak the secret word... BHULPWER. He was living here but left in a hurry i found his hat here, and on the wall here was a stolen painting and he even left his shoes here. Would you like to see the items he left here?

Melissa Rohan: Yes, well i am but a simple tracker, a collector, and a scout i encourage more people to join with us. Anyone can discover what i discovered and I hope that more people will begin to take part following this discovery.

You have certainly made history though with this great find.

Melissa Rohan: I have...? I was just doing my job; law and order and all that.

Yes but that is what makes the stuff of heros and legends... Not fantastic deeds... Not the mighty slain creatures that they sought out but instead the simple deeds of thier normal lives. I want to thank you for your time and your patience and once again recognize your accomplishment.
