Ive heard from a few different places that Europa is the place to be for role players. Is this true? If it is I just might switch shards...

there is lots of role play guilds around - just depends what you want!

Im a pacific northwesterner (washington state), i play on Baja almost exclusively but ive had trouble finding any RP. Im almost always on my blacksmith, Brom, who i would love to RP. i was more or less just hoping to find a shard where running into RP communities, guilds, or groups was much more common.

So your time difference is minus 8 hours from Europe?

So at peak rp times over here - 8pm to say 11pm it will be 12noon to 3pm your time? [hope thats right]

If you can do those times you are guaranteed some good role play over here on Europa shard. Some rpers will continue till 4am over here - thats 8pm your time [ I think ]

Its workable as there is some roleplay late on into the evening if you know where to look. But the weekends are best for those laying from timezones 5-7hrs behind i think. Assuming you have to also do a full time job.

Europa is the best for RP yes. there are many many West Coast people playing for the RP. However, as was stated you are 8 hours behind in time zones. So if you can handle missing the start of some things but being able to stay well past the end of most. Then you will be fine.

Europa is defiantly the best shard for role playing but it can be very hard to get into the community. The community at times can be very elitist, But saying that most of the community is great.

I don't actually play Ultima Online anymore, But I can recommend maybe a few good role playing guilds;

• Vesper [-V-] - Very friendly guild, Make you feel at home and treat you like a person! Very good GM too and got some fine roleplayer's in it.
• Order Of Haven [-OH-] - Good guild for beginning roleplayers as it's situated in the starting town, It's also got a few good roleplayer's but don't expect too much out of it, Good GM too.
• Army of Kaldor [A^K] - I've never actually been in it but it is a great guild. Full of very good role player's and some one's that will make you really chuckle (Mad Cecil). Very good GM and they will make you feel like a human.
• Brigands Of The Fort [B^F] - Very good brigand guild, it's been going for a long time now and the GM is very good and experienced.

Of course there are more you just have to look for them!.. There are a few that in my experience i'd avoid;

• Baronship Of Cove [BoC] - Make you feel like a number rather than a roleplayer, It's a very big guild and that problem was bound to happen. Could be called an elitist guild as it is very 'We are a higher rank, We are better, End of.' Be careful if considering this guild..

Saying that just use your common sense, These are all in my personal opinion . If you don't like a guild don't join it or stay in it if you don't want to. And if worse comes to worse, Make your own guild!
