Springs are shiny little things.
It's quite hard to tinker springs.
Springs are used in clocks and traps
And sometimes in barrel taps.
When you play with them, they swing.
Nothing's funnier than a spring!

The silver-green that heralds Spring,
The red-gold Autumn chants -
The year's song comes turning
In formal endless dance.
Warmth and friends and laughter,
The hymn that Summer sings.
Dark and death and bitter cold,
The poem Winter brings.
But Spring is time for growing life,
For newborn hope and love,
The lambs that play and crops that rise,
While sun shines from above.

he breathes life into the earth,
Whispering green to all that grows,
Blowing away the winter snows,
Sighing the cycle of rebirth.
She gazes the sun's first ray,
Peering upon the new-hatched bird,
Watching the farmer and his herd,
Wandering the fields at break of day.
Her fingers do each soul brush
Sending new love with heart's caress
Stroking away the winter's stress
Soothing the world from storm to hush
Her thoughts tint grey sky blue
Her words the clouds are: pure and white
The Lady Spring steals winter's might
And gifts the world with hope anew.

I hid myself in winter 'til
A bee perched 'pon the window sill
Ring silent, brazen, tabor yet
Abuzz, the herald, pollen-set
I hid myself from tree and flower
'Til I dared not face the hour,
Herald's trumpet, bellowed there,
Springtime come, in lilacs fair.
I hid myself from sun's disgrace,
My solace found in darker place,
A stagnant pall, of months on end,
No fears or worries, to attend.
I spent a winter all alone-
Toll the buzzing of the drone-
As yonder sunbeams onward shone,
I crept... through fields of poppies.

When spring begins again to light
Our happy world with colours bright
The robins all come back to see
How beautiful the earth shall be
with crocus gold and daffodils
Lighting meadows,field and hills
