![]() ![]() | "Monsters of the Land" Exhibition in Valoria - Open Till the End of July The "Monsters of the Land" exhibition in Valoria opens its doors to everyone who seeks more knowledge about creatures that inhabit Sosaria. The exhibition is open since the 22nd of June till the last day of July.
The exhibition is located on the first floor of the Valorian Museum. It presents replicas of many dangerous and vicious monsters. Guided tours are available each Thursday at 20:00 GMT, admission free. The owner of the Museum, Solomon Majere, tells the visitors about each creature displayed, its nature, habits, and inhabitation. For example, here is an excerpt from the guided tour, the part about daemons:
"Hideous DAEMONS are purer manifestation of primal evil. A being of the dark and infernal planes brought to us by most vile wizardries. Only the greatest of heroes have ever vanquished a daemon in single combat.
Daemons are rapacious, and find man-flesh as good as any other meat. They have a great love for gold, and will hoard it when they can. When not about their business of bloody deeds and diabolic mischief, they prefer to sojourn in caverns below the ground. They are especially thick in the deepest recesses of the legendary dungeons, where they combat invaders with their wits, their strength, and their magic. Daemon bones are greatly prized as magical talismans of rare potency.
In the depths of hell, we find BALRONS, they are generals among daemons. Black beasts with mighty hell-forged blades and life draining magical powers, Balrons are nine feet tall and wield an eight-foot blade of hell forged steel."
On the official opening the Museum was full of visitors, including the Duke of Trinsic himself. The Duke spoke favourably of the Museum: "I would like to reiterate my pleasure and interest in your museum. It is a very thoughtfully constructed exhibition with much information, and I commend it to anyone who considers visiting it."
Other visitors commented the exhibition as follows: * Athos, a Knight of Virtue: "Oooooh!" "These are fascinating" * Evinyatar from Cove: "My oh my!" * Megan, a Knight of Virtue: "Goodness!" "A comprehensive collection" * Elendrik, the Watcher: "It is good to see the diversity of the lands collected" * Omrot from Valoria: "Incredible!" * Liana from Trinsic: "They dun 'ave a beetle"
For those who are interested, the Township of Valoria is located north of Minoc in the area also known as "The High Steppes", surrounded by the great North Mines. The Museum is located between the Passage to the Lost Lands and the Shores of the Lost Hope Bay. Coordinates: 124o 54'N 78o 36'E. ![]() |
