Europa ... a land of genteel
Having a mission is one reason to go land hopping, and I found myself heading to Europa with the hope of helping community member Ulfhedinn (Egill) find a public leather dye tub to use on his armor.
Not being a resident of Europa, I found myself at the West Brit Inn and decided to make a dash to the moongate then head to Luna which should help us achieve the goal. As I rounded the corner I was stopped by a wonderful display of food and folks sitting around chatting with each other in the warmth of the sun. Excusing my interuption, I explained my mission to the land as a 'visitor' and a lovely lady by the name of Cinnemon immediately offered assistance with our leather dye tub mission. So I thanked her and sent word on the UOForum Chatline to Ulfhedinn (Egill) to come join us at the WB Bank. While I waited for him, I was invited to enjoy some refreshments and join in the conversation. ![]() When Egill arrived, not only did Cinnamon promptly offer help, but Lord Perrin Aybara who was chatting with us, casted a blue gate taking us to a safe and open to the public guild home. The [RAA] Guild Shop, located across the bridge and along the water of South Skara Brae. Once we arrived, he showed us up the stairs to the public dye tubs, and offered to help with the coloring hues. It was at this point I realized that another traveller had joined us who also was seeking a change in clothing color. ![]() After the dying was done and thank yous were proclaimed, Lord Perrin Aybara opened another gate and we headed back to the bank. Once again I scooted around the bank corner, grabbed a freshly baked cake, a plate of fresh sushi, gave Cinnemon another grateful thankyou, and land hopped back home to Sonoma, to scribe this fantastic pleasurable tale of Europa ... a land of genteel folks. ![]() |

Re: Europa ... a land of genteel
I love Europa
Its so easy to Role-Play there because nearly everyone just makes you feel as though it is 15-16th century Europe. Its a great place to build up a character especially if you havent Role-Played much in the past. And even without Role-Playing I've stopped and asked people things for close to an hour before now and had everything explained to me Plus there's always one or two people in haven around this time at night that make sure new citizens get off to a good start Its a really relaxed shard. Thanks for the help ![]()

Re: Europa ... a land of genteel
Aye...its good to see there is a lot of community spirit all across Europa and that new players and cross shard visitors have a great experience
![]() Paidric and his friends deserve a pat on the back for helping the younger players that begin in Haven. They are always there to help out with some GM crafted gear and sound words of wisdom. |

Re: Europa ... a land of genteel
I agree Decardo. Minerva gave my first 'serious' toon a lot of nice items to help him out and Paidric has helped out two of my other toons. Even if they never handed out a single item they still spend hours giving out advice. The HLP are certainly a great bunch for any young player to stumble across
![]() Having said that, you spent an hour at least helping me out when I met you in haven. Europa really does have some upstanding citizens ![]()
