Being the naive UO player that i am, I had no idea that the hammers were being duped as massively as they have been. I have no clue at all what items are currently being duped. Seems to me, many people are knowledgeable when it comes to events like this. My question is, if there was a location that people in game could post the items that are being duped, sorta like a hot duping item list that people could look at frequently, possibly stopping the innocents from purchasing these items, wouldnt that hit the dupers where it hurts most, in the pockets? I would even be willing to put a board up at one of my homes, or several boards for that matter, drop daily runes etc, so that the unknowing everyday naive player could read and be knowledgeable about the dupe items and not purchase them. Not everyone reads stratics and forums, but everyone looks at runes on the ground. Any comments, suggestions, etc?

It'd be easier to make a list of items that aren't duped.

duping has been going on for years.. its just lately its gotten known to public more..

That's nearly impossible, especially since many people with "good repurations" don't always follow the rules as closely as you'd think...

I try to post on my vendors..when I stock them. But it is difficult to keep up. One example is when I make firebombs I always type "Makes a small firewall when thrown. Not a Rare! Can be made in game" to educate people as to what is out there. They get bought out quickly, Then I find the goblets made by my crafter's name on another unscrupulous vendor saying "rare item" with an outrageous price on it. LOL
The magical wizard hats that you can buy from any npc mage for like 20 gold I put on vendor for 99 gold with the tag. "these can be purchased from any NPC vendor" Not a rare! they all sell out in minutes as well then I find them on my neighbors vendor for 25K each LOL.
I have tried for years to inform of scams this way. As you can see, it backfires on me

More thoughts:
Have you ever purchased say, a barbed kit on a vendor that only had what looked like one barbed kit on it, to see another underneath it? If you have UO Assist when you open the vendor's pack it will give you a pack item count saying "container holds XX items" There are a couple vendors that have what looks like only one barbed kit on them in Chessie, but my assist when I open the vendors pack says "Container holds 25 itmes" Now I only "See" one barbed ki, but that item count on Assist tells me ther are 24 more items on that vendor that I don't see, Good chance it is 24 more barbed kits and no way someone can get that many. I have run 8 GM or better crafters for BOD's for years and I only ever got 5 barbed kit Larges. I know that those barbed kits have to be illegitimate and I avoid that vendor house.

The Most Recent Items Being Duped Are The Xfer Tokens. This Is Why They Were Down So Long. Shortly After Accounts Being Banned For Duping.Guess Some People Never Learn And Never Will Play A GAME Without Duping/Scripting. Simply Because They Cant Hack The Real Game. Sad
