Chesapeake history question

Can anyone name the exact date Chesapeake shard went live?

And I don't mean "testing" but house-placing/murder counting/gold banking/housekey-stealing LIVE

Has to be November or December of 1997. I know PaxLair founded Jan 1998. Earliest reference I can find on UO.com is a Shard issue in august of 98.

I'm fairly certain housing went in in December of '97, I remember placing our first small house. We scrimped, gathered and sold everything we had to afford it!

I'll keep searching. You have peaked me interest!

Thanks for helping me research this! In the video, McManus alludes to having his karma reset, so that may have been the shard being reset in certain aspects. I say this because I found a Japanese site that has many, many dates, of which the ones I already know do cross-verify.

Chesapeake is listed as Oct 16, 1997 so perhaps thats the day it went live "forever" instead of just being in test mode?

And yes, it says Easy UO, but that's the Japanese way of saying it's a simple or brief history and NOT alluding to a certain 3rd party somethingsomething

all it says is that Chesapeake opened on that date, it doesn't specify whether it was the inital opening or when house placement opened or whatever
