There is now a player on Catskills who will approach you at banks and ask you to party or chat in private. Once they get you there they will claim to be someone you know (such as your guild leader) running a different character and not to tell anyone. This person then will ask to see an item or items of value on you. (He has used many different ways of doing this. From claiming he wants to check it out, to showing someone else, to doing a scam on another player with it.) Once he has the item or items he will recall out and there is nothing you can do about it.
He has been known to hang at banks listening to conversations so he has background information to convince you that he is who he claims he is. He has used many different characters so you won’t know him by just one name.
Here are few simple rules to follow:
1.Never hand your items over to anyone who you do not know for sure is.
2.Just because they know a little information does not mean they are who they claim to be.
3.Ask them to meet you with the character you do know
4.Make sure they are guilded by checking their title
5.Even if they ask you not to tell anyone they are under a different character check to see if the person they claim to be is on ICQ or guild chat and message them first.

This person has pulled this scam on many players already so please do spread the word.

That happened and I lost my quiver of infinty.. (Ages ago tho..) I was very mad... Someone told me they'd dye my quiver for sum gold... and well :|
