Do you know someone who you feel deserves to be a King or a Queen for a day? If you know a male and a female that you think deserves to be recognized and treated special for a day then nominate them to become “The Grog Memorial Festival” King and Queen. This is a special honor for someone you feel that has given to the shard you love.

Nominations are being taken in two places till the 1st of August, at the TH*C Tavern just outside the west entrance to Luna in Malas, and at the historic Kinship Tavern in Felucca that is east of the mainland ferry docks for Skara Brae. Your nominations can be posted on the bulletin board at the TH*C tavern or written in a book provided at the Kinship tavern. All nominations will be taken till 7 PM EST August 1st when voting will be opened up for everyone to take part in.

The winners of King and Queen will be announced on Saturday the 4th of August at the “Meat and Ale Feast” that will be held at the Kinship Tavern to kick off what promises to be a very special event for Catskills. A event that will have the newly crowned King and Queen leading a parade through most of the major cities the following day and doing special duties through out that day.

So head over to the TH*C tavern or the Kinship Tavern in Felucca and post who you feels deserves to be Catskills King and Queen for a day. Show these people just how much you respect them and all they have strived to do for the shard. If you even think that you deserve this huge honor even nominate yourself if your friends are too busy to do it.

All nominees must be available to take part in the “Meat and Ale Feast” on Saturday the 4th of August from 9 PM EST and from 4 PM EST on the 5th of August for the kickoff parade and the entire festival to follow for the entire day. We only want people who seriously want to be the King and Queen so if you have no desire to fill the positions please do tell someone at either tavern and they will remove you from the list of candidates.

Remember the Grog Memorial Festival is everyone on the shards festival so get involved. This is Catskills chance to shine bright.
