Results from Medieval Mayhem! May 4th (The Battle Arena)

The show began with minor delays as fighting erupted in the stands, taking the attention of most of the audience, who were eagerly awaiting a fight and got one. The first match was then announced by new host Pollux, and the event was underway.

Murtagh (Representing KL^D-Keepers of Light and Dark) vs. Hot Lunch (Representing BtD-Brotherhood of the Dragon)
The show started with a great match as Murtagh again put the honor of his guild on the line against another guild representative, Hot Lunch. Murtagh and this mysterious female newcomer came out blazing, testing each other with an even match early in the fight. As time went on, Murtagh took the upper hand utilizing his great speed and agility. After being on the defensive for quite some time, Hot Lunch fought back with ferocity, even hurting Murtagh badly at the very end of the match. Alas, it was not enough as Murtagh came through with a close victory, leaving his undefeated record in The Battle Arena in tact. The Keepers of Light and Dark shined again this night through Murtagh's quickness in combat.

RObert j H vs. Black Serpent

RObert j H again stepped into The Battle Arena looking to make an impact on officials, and he did just that-absolutely smashing and vanquishing Black Serpent in swift fashion. This hooded Swordsman is clawing his way up the ranks in The Battle Arena, and has his eyes on the Championship scepter. One must wonder when he will have his well-earned Championship match.

King Tumadeus of Inethria vs. Tobias Funk'e

The King of Inethria came to The Battle Arena with victory on his mind and demonstrated the power of his kingdom to all on hand. Tobias Funk'e came out sluggish, and was soon staggered by the mighty King. The King, noticing Tobias' injury like a shark tasting blood in the water, swarmed Tobias with strong attacks and slaying him in perhaps-record-breaking time.

Open Challenge

Edward Delinden, who has been noticeably enraged since his loss to Maximus Lozier last month at Championship Glory, attempted to outdo Maximus Lozier by extending an Open Challenge, calling out Maximus and everyone in the audience. Though he did not get his desired Championship bout, his challenge was gleefully answered by Hellion, a spectator who was looking to embarass the elf mage. Edward Delinden's sturdy and steady foundation of magical attacks spelled out the end for Hellion in this brief yet entertaining challenge.

Main Event for The Battle Arena Championship

Maximus Lozier (c) vs. Edmond Dantes

The weeks of preparation, prediction, and analysis finally came to its conclusion on this night. You could feel the tension in the air as both men walked through the Arena gates. As the wall dropped, it was hard to see who had the advantage. Both men battled a well-fought match as Maximus Lozier used his great defense abilities to ward off the undead fencer's rough attacks. As the bout wore on, it became apparent that both men had prepared for each other well as they were evenly matched. Neither man was put in significant danger throughout most of the match, until Edmond Dantes tore into Maximus Lozier with a stifling sequence of attacks.

With one final blow, Edmond Dantes etched his name in the history of The Battle Arena and became the new Battle Arena Champion. Edmond Dantes, visibly frustrated by the match, stormed out of the Arena, attempting to avoid his post-match interview. The persistence of Pollux would not let him get away, as he followed The Battle Arena Champion outside for some words. Unfortunately without the security measures of the Arena, I was unable to hear what was said in that interview, and reasons for his displayed anger with the event have not been verified. Edmond Dantes eventually returned to the Arena to greet some of the great people in attendance and display his newly-won Championship scepter.

It was a fantastic night of fights, and I can't wait for the next Battle Arena event this Thursday night, May 10th BloodshedRedemption!

See you there!
