The Open Challenge
A week prior to Championship Glory, Maximus Lozier put out a challenge to every man, woman, and child in Sosaria. Many were eager to step up, many with aspirations of beheading the self-proclaimed "Outcast of Britannia". This included a duo of brothers, but as one was scheduled to compete later that night in Six Man Madness, he left his brother behind in the Arena duelling pit to face the darkly-clad man. These brothers proclaimed themselves "The Abyssmal Horrors", Xunkurg and Zydro.



Xunkurg came at Maximus with great ferocity, but as Maximus continued to defend his honor (and his stomach), it soon became clear that Maximus posed too great of a threat to Xunkurg, leaving his body in a bloody heap. Though the bout was over, it was not clear if his open challenge had been answered or not.


Six Man Madness


Madness indeed ensued in the six-man Battle Royale. Last-minute replacements Bill and Kuta Kentae had a steep mountain to climb as Edmond Dantes, Zydro, ocilo, and RObert j H would be difficult competition for anyone. Even you. When the wall of stone fell, all six men swung and swiped at each other, smacking the walls with blood. Bill was the first to fall, followed by ocilo. While Kuta Kentae remained elusive, the alliance between Zydro and Edmond Dantes became evident, as they eliminated RObert j H. Finally, the two turned their teamwork on Kuta Kentae, before finally there was nowhere left to go but through each other. Their alliance evaporated as they tore into each other with a truly great Battle. Finally, despite being severely hurt throughout most of the battle, Edmond Dantes stood tall over his five fallen opponents in the end. Hence, earning him a match with the Champion at Medieval Mayhem, May 4th. The best of luck goes out to Edmond on that fateful Friday.


Naked Mud Wrestling
As more and more problems surfaced during the event, few were prepared for the diastrous Naked Mud Wrestling match. Many problems occured during the special attraction match. The events soon took a turn for the worse, as MidnightTamer, a combatant who has been vocal about his desire to make an impression in the Battle Arena, further disrupted the event by unleashing a large beetle into the pit to eat the two young ladies. Surprised, they posed little defense to the beetle. Due to this blatant disregard for the rules and guidelines of the Arena, MidnightTamer has since been fined and suspended indefinitely from the guild.



Grudge Match
Earlier this month, Tobias Funk'e and Sir William were scheduled for a match at the Grand Opening event. That night, Sir William did not show for his match, leaving Arena officials no choice but to replace him with his stand-in fighter, RObert j H. Little did the Arena officials know that RObert j H would make a huge impact that night, driving Tobias into the dirt in a vicious, yet impressive fashion. In the days to follow, the rivalry between Tobias Funk'e and Sir William built to its boiling point. On the night of Championship Glory, however, Tobias Funk'e decided to no-show the match, telling Sir William the old adage of "What goes around, comes around." This left many Arena officials scratching their heads, as it was well-known that Tobias wanted Sir William's blood. His reasons perhaps became apparent as Tobias' replacement was announced..



RObert j H again made his impact felt in the Arena, dominating Sir William and vanquishing yet another opponent that he did not prepare for. Though his loss in the Battle Royal has dampened his ranking, it is believed by many that this hooded warrior will earn a Championship match sooner than later.



Championship Match
The Battle Arena Championship was on the line for the first time ever. Edward Delinden had spent the past two weeks preparing for Murtagh, when moments before the bout would begin it was discovered that Murtagh had indeed backed out of the match. Arena officials have since cited personal problems for his failure to appear in the Championship bout as advertised. As Edward's confusion set in, a new path was opened for another Battle Arena combatant.



Maximus Lozier entered the Arena once again, pleading Edward to be the one to answer his Open Challenge once and for all. Edward's pale face went red as many began taunting the elf to accept the open challenge. He finally gave in, hastily agreeing to answer Maximus' Open Challenge in the Championship Match. For those not in attendance that night, words will not describe the fierce battle these two waged. Despite a crazed fan jumping into the Arena pit during the match, (later indentified as a rogue named Bork) they went back and forth, each staggering in pain as time went on, when something in Edward gave out. He fell to his knee, relenquishing his dreams of being Battle Arena Champion to his last-minute challenger, Maximus Lozier. Edward Delinden has not spoken to many about what happened that night, but it is rumored that the elf mage suffered a severe injury during the heated bout. Exactly where the injury occured has not yet been verified. As the fireworks and applause drums rang through the swamps of Trinsic, Maximus Lozier hailed the crowd with a restored sense of pride.

very nice reporting, wish i could have made it, conflicts with family life came up i'am sad i missed the naked mud wrestling hoping to attend the next one though. same place i take it?

Thank thee. No. We have relocated to Umbra, right next door to Hanse's Hostel. Runes to the new location will be available in Luna Bank and there will be one on the front of the old Arena.
