Hunt Nite Hangover Thread - Anniversary Edition

Tonite, our band of warriors gathered up at Yew gate with no idea what destination they would be heading to. Upon arrival, the spellweavers quickly focused and parties were started.



The adventurer's were told only that they would follow their party leader to the first destination where they would be given more information about the night's events. They were told that there would be several stops on tonite's journey and the stops would include Fel. Everyone was given the opportunity to forgo the fight and I honestly was wondering how many would take me up on the offer. I have to say, not one single person left!

Little did our adventurer's know, as they popped thru the various gates that were opened for them, that their journey would soon set them out to sea.



Their journey ended at the beach across from Felucca Papau where they disembarked and were greeted by a welcoming committee assembled especially for this event.



Members of C^P, CDE, GOL, and RKoS graciously agreed to send their guards to watch the beach for this nite of celebration! Our hunters were facing a Fel Champ Spawn for the first time since we began our journeys. I'd like to point out right here, that these seasoned fighters sat guard on the beach while we played and asked nothing in return. They did this for all of YOU.

Spirits were high and the cheers quickly went up as our brave souls headed in to face whatever was thrown at them.





And face it they did! This wonderful group took out FOUR champ spawns in less than one hour!





But of course, what would any Hunt Nite be without a few death robes?



And of course a few rat kin......



The evening ended back at our beginning, Yew Gate, where the scrolls were rolled for. It was made clear at the beginning of the evening that any scrolls that popped into anyone's pack were their's to keep. I have to say thank you to Katrina who got a 120 Bushido scroll and, having no character with Bushido, put the scroll into the "pot". A 115 Archery was also won as well as various 110's.

Books were handed out commemorating our adventures and this special nite. Thanks to Stormhawke for providing the books and the red leaves to seal them with! Special thank you's were said and we parted ways to rest and prepare for another year of adventures!

I want to tell all of you how absolutely wonderful tonite was. There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am to ALL the people who helped plan this and showed up to help make it work. To CDE, C^P, GOL, RKoS, and everyone else I'm forgetting to thank, I cannot tell you how much your help meant tonite. To Morgana, for all your support and ideas and for helping make this happen, I can't say thank you enough. To Satria, Softwind, Diesel, Arcanna, Anileakim and all the others, thank you just does not express how truly touched and grateful I am. Thank you as well to Atheryn who got roped into being a party leader at the very last minute. To Diesel I especially thank you for driving the boat back to the dock when all us "noobs" got on the wrong boat! [tongue]

To all the hunters who came out tonite and had FUN, thank you. There were concerns about taking a group to Fel but no one let it stop them. No one let the fear of the "what if" stop them. You once again displayed the courage and sense of adventure that makes this work so well each week. Everyone worked together as the team that I have come to be so very proud of. (And for any who didn't know, we took over 50 people along tonite!!!!!!)

Tonite, we were truly a community. And someone, I'm sorry I forget who, summed it up rather well tonite. Tonite we proved that not all Trammies are afraid to go to Fel and not all Reds are evil. There is a community out there and tonite we found it.

We had fun and we celebrated what makes this group and this shard the absolute best in UO!

I posted this on the "Other" forums, but it deserves to be said here as well. Last night was a sight to behold. I don't think anyone has seen that many people storm the Papua beaches in such numbers. I know we were all surprised at how quickly we moved thru each Champ spawn. As Anne said at one point last night, we waited longer for the gate to the star room to disappear than it took for us to complete the spawn. It was great fun! Thank you Anne for all the hard work you put into tonight's events. And thank you for all the hunts you have lead this past year, they have all been great for the community. Thank you to the folks in C^P, GOL, RKoS, CDE, and DB4 who showed up last night to help all us Trammies. And a very special thank you to everyone that attended not only last night, but every Friday night. You guys rock!
