![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hunt Nite Hangover for April 28th On Friday, April 28, 2006, the Catskills Hunt Nite gang journeyed back to their beginnings. Our band of courageous hunters streamed into the lands of Ilshenar to face the Champ Spawns in the jungles deep in Humility and Valor. This brave group of warriors tied the previous record of four completed spawns in one evening. The first challenge to face our group was the Spider spawn in Humility. Around level two, all of the spawn hid from us! I guess our fearsome group had them shaking in their caves. After a pause while they gathered reinforcements, the battle was on full bore but, even with their extra group of nasties, we were victorious with few casualties on our side. Next we were off to Valor where we had thought to be facing a nice relaxing Rat spawn. Imagine the surprise when we discovered it was not Rats but DRAGONS instead! ![]() Still, our brave warriors held fast and with grim determination (and a few more death robes) defeated the beasts and gathered at the altar to catch their breath. ![]() It was then back to Valor where we, at last, found our Rat spawn. After a brief half time break around level two where Pancho kindly provided everyone with snacks, the minions were defeated and the champ engaged. Again, he was no match for our might. ![]() I headed back over to Humility to quickly check the spawn and discovered that it was, once again, dragons. As our numbers had dwindled by this late hour, it was decided we would, instead, restart Valor and see what form of nasties wished to fight us there. Once again, it was spiders and our remaining brave souls jumped into the fray whole heartedly. Things were going well until yours truly made the silly comment, "Would the spawn pick up already?" Apparently the gods of Sosaria were listening and threw quite a massive army at us! Things were not looking good and our tattered little army fell back to the river to rez and regroup. But then Magus, Castor, Lonewolf and friends showed up! We quickly forced our way back in, gathering bodies as we went and slaying everything that dared to cross our path. The champ at last appeared and was soundly defeated. Upon collecting their spoils and resting for a moment, our tired band of hunters said their goodbyes for the week. Denowan left us with words of wisdom until the next time we would meet to do battle. ![]() Thank you to everyone who came out tonite to play and enjoy the company. As always, it was a lot of fun (even with the deaths) and I look forward to seeing you all next week. Keep your eyes out this week for a special Anniversary look back at some of our adventures over the past year. Until next week, be safe and HAVE FUN. ![]() ![]() |
