Catskills Hunt Nite Hangover - Palace of Paroxymus

The Palace of Paroxymus is not for the faint of heart as our band of adventurers found out upon entering the twisting, acidic pathways. All manner of evil waited to thwart our journey including Acid Elemetals, Poison Elementals, Corrosive Slimes, Plague Beasts.......

Not to mention the Green Balron on CRACK Putrefier! However, none were a match for our group. Even Putrefier was defeated soundly.

The Succubus and Demons guarding the cauldron area threw everything they had at us to try to stop us. Even going so far as to chase us across the river!

In the end, however, the cauldron was reached and our brave warriors went to face the Fat Man himself. While waiting on the first group to finish, several learned why the ointment is so important. The river to the Paroxymus is instant death to any who would dare try to swim it without protection. [grin]

After quite a battle and MUCH curing/rezzing, the Slug was finally defeated and our brave crew gathered their spoils.

Now a few thank you's. Thank you to TW and Jay for making the kegs and scrolls that were needed for the Acid Proof Ropes. Thank you to Stormhawke for making 50 Acid Proof Ropes for our journey! Thank you also to Nephi for donating additional ropes when the ones we had were "lifted" (they WERE later returned). Thank you to every single one of you that came along and helped out and brought extra ropes and truly showed what this hunt nite is all about. A big thank you as well to Iza Spellmage for going in early and gathering several keys to give us a kick start! Last but not least, thank you to our healers (Chak and Olga being two) who helped TRY to make sure that all were healed and rezzed as much as possible. They had quite a job on their hands. LOL

Even though we had a few bumps along the way, we've all now seen the Palace and the path and monsters that must be faced. This was the first time we had journeyed to Paroxymus Lair and there were quite a few who did not know what it would be like. No matter how much information is provided, until you experience this for yourself, you just cannot fully comprehend the magnitude! LOL

We will return one day I'm sure and defeat Paroxymus again! But maybe next week, we'll do something not quite so deadly? LOL

Until next week, be safe and thank you for coming out each week. Catskills Hunt Nite Group ROCKS!
