Word arrived from Lord Darius Laeranthian of Baja that soon he would achieve Legendary Tamer and wished to share the experience with friends, Guild Mates, citizens, and guests. The last taming gain would be reserved for the beginning of the ceremony and if possible would I travel to Baja to perform the official blessing of the animal companions.

Well, it was an honor to receive such a request but even more special to participate in the celebration of a friends accomplishment.

We assembled at the Skara Brae stables and was gated to Temple Island, Trammel. Truly a beautiful location for such a worthy ceremony.




Gathered in a circle we watched as Lord Dar officially joined the ranks with "one more tame". Even the pets appeared to smile when he earned that point for Legendary Tamer.



After donning himself in well earned Ranger Armor the blessing began ...

"A core of Divinity exists in all beings" ...

Most companions are like angels that accompany us on part of our journey. They can uplift us from some of the deepest downs and remind us of what really matters. They are teachers of unconditional love and other values of the heart and spirit.

Eternal Spirit, maker of all living creatures, You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air, and animals on the land. We are mindful of our kinship with all living creatures, and our responsibility to care for them. We ask You to bless them as we renew our covenant with the animals in our care. We give thanks for the creatures that live alongside us as companions and friends; for their loyalty, love, and trust which enrich our lives and give us joy. May we learn the value of kindness, the power of mercy, the strength of gentleness, and a new spirit of humility.

Eternal Spirit, Bless these companions and Lord Darius Laeranthian who cares them, now and always ... Amen.
