Old Fart Returning With Questions...

So after a 3 year vacation I have returned, thank the Maker I returned to a more stable MMO! I went and redownloaded all the old programs that we used ages ago with UO such as UOA, UO Map, and the UO Spawn Map untility. Trouble is none of these work with the UOKR client. Is there a up to date spawn map program that covers all the lands?, and a map program for treasure hunting?(also whats with the treasure maps in game now?! there nothing but a blurred mess with a pin on them)? Also anyone know where a person can get a copy of the old paper map that came with the game when you bought it from a store? I'm old old school and thats what I'd use when I would treasure hunt, I'd compare my UO treasure map to the old paper map and thats how I'd narrow my search patern down,(and if one has a link for treasure hunting reminders like HOW TO I'd appreaciate that much as I have all but forgotten how to TH). Thanks tons!

Hi Duce,

Welcome back to Baja.

UOA and UOAM still work with 2D. But with KR may be technically released, most players use it as a beta, and the UO Team is still working hard on it like a beta... so effectively KR might as well be a beta and there is a lot of dev work & changes going into it. That being the case, and UOA/UOAM-like capabilities being added/refined into KR... 3rd party tools may be some time off, if at all.

Try Googling for an auction site for an original paper map. Also images that you could print your own if you want. Seems like I remember someone produced a map image for printing (that's like one of the few thing -not- in the UO Toolbar).

Found one of the tools I totally forgot about hehehe, UOTH. Makes T-Hunting so much easier beings the KR cliet does NOT show whats on the T-Maps just a blur with a pin on it. Thanks again mate!

I see the forums arent a real happening place for this game unlike some of the other MMOs out there.

Interest is kinda falling in UO these days, no doubt due to a lower number of players.
