Its actually pretty easy...

1. Transformers are used to adjust Voltage, Amperage is affected solely because how they work together and they are inversely proportional.

2. 1000:1 means that Voltage will increase by 1000 times. Ouput Voltage is 10 kV (kilovolts)

3. The inverse relation ship of amperage means that it wil decrease by a factor of 1000. Output Amperage is 120 mA (milliamps)

4. Wattage is Amps X Volts. Ouput Wattage is 1200 W (watts)

5. Last point : Even the most efficient transformer is only about 90% efficient and the loss is always assumed to be in amperage. So itd actually be 1080 W output assuming its a shell core transformer

Ahh, but wait!! This is not technical geeky jargon though. It is the lifeline of us Linemen. You know, the ones who work outside with really really high voltage. Usually 7400/12470v or 2100/4160v. We are the type that kick the crap out of pocket protector wearin nerdos...
