Real life computer support

Ive been in computer support for over twelve years and of all the times Ive helped..this is goto to be the weirdest.

A secretary called me to say she had problems with her floppy drive so I shows up a few minutes later to help her out.

There was a floppy disk stuck in the drive and it wouldnt budge. So I gets a small screwdriver and pulls the disk out only to find cling film coming out too.

'Who the heck put cling film in your drive', says me.

The secretary replied that she wrapped the disk in cling film before putting it into the drive as the disk was from her home and she didnt want to spread a virus onto the company computer!

I didnt know if I should have cried or laughed

I've been in IT for 25 years and have seen a lot. But that one I haven't... that's pretty funny.

She did it all wrong in the first place, anyone who knows, knows that cling-wrap won't stop the virus from spreading......

Then there was the time a really annoying, unpolite user phoned and said her taskbar was on the side of the screen instead of the bottom.

I told her the only thing she could do was turn her monitor on its side *hears thump, thump* down the phone.

'Yes thats got it' she says.................
