A joke I heard back in 1st-2nd Grade but it stuck with me *shrugs* lol

I call the joke "The 3 Camping Guys"

3 Guys went on a camping trip and there was still 2 days before the trip was over and they were almost out of the food they brought with them. They were all sitting around a camp fire staring at the last piece of Bologna fighting over which one was going to get it.

Guy 1: "How about we race for it, like from that tree to that one" *point out to trees*

Guy 2: "Well that's not fair, you're faster then us so of course you would win, how about we see who can lift the most and whoever lifts the most will win it"

Guy 1: "No way, your stronger then us, you would win for sure...it's not fair"

Guy 3: "I've got an idea, how about we all go to sleep and when we wake up whoever had the best dream, and we'll vote on it, will get the last slice of Bologna"

guy 1 looked at guy 2 and just nodded in agreement and all 3 of them went to sleep. They all seemed to wake up around the same time, and guy 1 was really excited and wanted to tell his dream first.

Guy 1: "I had a dream that I was a WWF Wrestler, and I was the world champion, beat everyone that came into my reach and was champion forever!!!"

Guy 2: *nods* "That's ok and all but I had the dream that I was the President, I cured all sickness, gave homes to all the homeless, and fixed all wrongs in the world...and was voted King of the World!!!"

Guy 3: *laughs* "Well that's nothing, I had the dream that I was Yankie Doodle"

Guy 1 and 2: "Yankie Doodle?????, how's that better then our dreams"

Guy 3: "Well, Yankie Doodle went to town, Riding on a Pony, while you fellers were asleep I ate the last slice of Bologna!!" *laughs and runs from the other 2 boys for the rest of the day*

Ok so it probably was told as well back in the 1st-2nd grade but the punch line stayed the same and for some reason that joke has always stuck with me, not sure...pretty lame but funny. I think it stuck with me cause the "Guy 3" reminded me of my own cleverness
