![]() ![]() ![]() | Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem All I did was grab a soulseeker and went to a champ spawn in Ilsh (the one with undead) Good way to gain in spell resist and parry too! I didn't GM off this method yet, but in an hour I went from 83ish to 90ish Seemed quicker than a golem... I didn't have to heal myself much either (because of the SS leeching and high SSI), just a quick trip home to repair my Soulseeker and Shield and off I went! Helps to have 70phys too ![]() You might be a geek if you quote some obscure 16th century German philosopher... ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem 70 physical be easy to get, just a set of dull copper armour. Maybe I'll give it a try when I get an ML upgrade. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem I think you can use the Soul Seeker without ML. Not 100% sure about that, give me a minute and I can test it. Yup, you can equip it on a non ML account. A Soul Seeker usually runs you about 250k. Maybe a bit more on Siege or a bit less I don't know. ![]() There are no stupid questions......only stupid people! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem I've never really had any trouble training up melee skills by just hunting stuff, doing it the "normal" way. All you really need is to know what to fight so the skill level of the opponent is good for your gains. Also helps to have a decent spawn rate and opponents who can take a good few hits. At higher levels Yomotsu warriors did very nicely, using a fast crappy weapon. The warriors have over GM wrestle so yay. ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem I found to get the best bang for the buck, training and getting gold while doing so, is at the trogs cave. You take a soulseeker there, Eo1, and you can 120 it and tactics REAL quick. I usually just go there for some 2hpr woodland armor, but a guildie of mine went there to train up his swords and tact and nailed it quick. The soulseeker was probably the best weapon implimented to date. Every other arty weapon is soo limited and not that great all around, but this one you can use it anywhere. Speaking of those spawns though, a repond slayer will do WAY less damage to an undead, if I am remembering correctly, due to them being opposite classes. The best place if you are wanting to do a spawn is any rat spawn. You equip a vermin slayer talisman, and the soulseeker, you 1 hit kill everything but the wolves, and baracoon. And even then, you can take baracoon down with NO problems at all. I have been able to get to near 4th tier of that spawn just by myself, then had a few reds kinda watch my health when the champ came up. A great sword, I recommend it for anyone!! ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem Actually the soul seeker would do normal damage, but he would take double damage from all undead critters. ![]() There are no stupid questions......only stupid people! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Train swords to GM quickly without a Golem Ahhhh Ok. I thought there was some sort of double penalty damage. So thats why I get my butt kicked when I run through an undead spawn. I usually put away the swordsman for those and bring out the necro/mage, but shes red, and I kinda like doin the spawn not just protecting the spawn. Either way, its still fun. I am making a 4/6 chiv/mage as we speak, and that will cover all my spawning needs, except baracoon, where I'll always take the pali. ![]() ![]() |
