Which spells to cast at what level when raising magery?

People discuss raising magery..using wands, doing this, standing there..okay, I have that down. What I cannot find is even a partial guide woth which spells to cast at what levels to make it raise.

Someone on Stratics is claiming 50 to GM in 6 hours at the blackrock location. Okay fine, great. Didn't bother to list any spells and the skill he was at when he cast them to gain that quickly.

Right now I have myself dumbed down to about 46 skill by using a wand, and seem to get a few gains from incognito.

Any help would be great. Thank you.

I use UOMagic to see what gets me the best gains. (I try to cast spells with about a 60% chance of casting). Basically I try to use jewelry to keep my skill low and the spells use less mana. Here is a list I have used for a long time. It works pretty good (substitute same level spells if you want to switch up some)

up to 45 Fireball

up to 65 Lightning

up to 90ish Energy Bolt

up to GM Flamestrike

up to 120 Earthquake

It's really simple, no need to make it complicated. At NPC training level Protection gives you good gains and you can spam it. When the gains from Protection slow down, switch to Bless. Gains are slower with Bless because you can't spam it, but Bless will let you gain until you can cast Magic Reflection at around 55 skill. Once you can cast Magic Reflection, you have it made. It can be spammed and, with use of wands (Staff of Power -15, -25 wand, -29 wand) you can go to very nearly GM. At the end in the high 90's, you'll have to switch to Invisibility using the -29 wand to take you to GM.

A huge thank you to all three of you for replying. It helped greatly. I caught Tukaram's reply right awat, equipped a -27 wand, and went all the way to GM real skill using only magic reflection.

Many thanks, it's appreciated very much and helped me out of the quagmire I had gotten myself into.

I need help on my new mage 2 hes on 60 but i dont seem to gain even in blackrock can anyone help me?

Well, youre sure you have the avaiable skill points? Abd what are you casting trying to gain?
