I play a samurai character named Rikimaru on Atlantic. I'm pretty happy with him, he's PvM only, but I'd like to be able to do a little more damage. Here's my layout:

I wear:
Ancient Samurai Helm
Gorget with resists/mana regen
Heart of the Lion
Royal Ember Leggings
Sleeves w/ LMC
Stormgrips

Like I said, I'm pretty happy with him, but I'd like to deal a more damage (the main reason I got grips). Anyway, I know a lot of it depends on slayer weapons, and I'm fine with that. Just wanted to know if anyone could help me fine-tune him to become more of a solo-power house.

This is my pvm char right now. If you can add Chiv somewhere, you can do more damage with Enemy of One and Consecrate Weapon and Honor and Lightning Strike.

Hmm, I know I could just change to Chiv if I wanted more damage, but thats such a cookie cutter character, no offense of course , its just not my style. I've seen a few chivalry-bushido characters out there, anyone got a template for that?

enemy of one, consecrate weapon, slayer type. You'll be doing a ton of damage. Watch out for blood oath, lol.

Thanks for the help, but without focus, will i rely soley on mana regen items to get my mana back? Also, what's blood oath ? hehe, i'm still pretty new to UO.

Yep you would need MR items and blood oath is a necro spell that means if you hit the caster for a bunch of damage the spell will cause the same damage against you. It's not fun to get blood oathed.

If you're human you get jack of all trades, which if you have 0 focus and 0 med, you get a pssive 20 to that skill, so that's another extra 3 MR right there. MR items aren't too difficult to find. Brightsight lenses, rune beetle carapace, then some barbed armor. You should be alright.
