how does anyone survive long enogh to gain at black rock ellies?

you just have to be really careful and really quick, if you can invis or hide, there is a spot by the cliff at the bottom, if you run to it and invis or hide, most of the time they won't see you or don't attack you, just be really careful

I can't speak for all shards, but on the shards I have done blackrock gains there is usually a single area where everyone congregates, and when a spawn enters the area everyone runs off. Certain players enjoy decoying the spawn away (I do, myself) even if it gets you killed more often. Just watch closely and see what the other players do.

If you're on an empty shard, though, you're basically out of luck and will have to work out a solution for yourself. It will probably require frequent runs to Papua for rez'ing, followed by leaving Papua and recalling to your marked rune spot near the blackrock.

What I was doing, and this wont work for everyone, is to go there on my mage and cast protection. When the mobs come down to wipe the masses out, you can recall without getting fizzled. Usually within a few minutes, the blackrock infected creatures are gone and you can go back. This is when I usually go and sell off my scrolls and restock on regs/blank scrolls.

Well most people are going there on "training" characters, and may not be at full capacity. I know when I went there, I was in a crappy resist high MR, lmc/lrc suit. I think my highest resist was in the 50s.....I got taken out before I could finish casting my recall spell..... It sucked, I lost a couple hundred scrolls/regs too.....

Was in the same boat when I trained my ninjitsu....sacarfice my resist for mr, lmc, and mana increase
