![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: paladin quests Actually, there are three different "quests" sets that are being confused here. There are the Virtues themselves, accessed via the Virtues gump on the paperdoll, with instructions on how to do them right on the gump itself (and which aren't completed, sadly); the Virtue Quests that Dev Draconi did as a coding exercise; and the Virtue Armor Quests, only one of which has been written so far (Humility Cloak). The Virtue Quests that Draconi implemented are nice little quests that vary in difficulty, and reward the player with blessed items. One of these, believe it or not, was the basis for an exploit from a year ago that allowed players to manufacture True White Cloth (it has since been fixed). To start these Virtue quests, you visit some NPC's scattered throughout Britannia: A beggar in Britain, reward is blessed Earrings A "tortured artist" in Britain, reward is bleach, with which you can remove dyes from artifacts and enhanced items; A woman in Skara Brae (near the provisioner's shop) who rewards you with a necklace; A woman in Jhelom (not far from moongate) whose father died and wanders the Jhelom cemetery (danger in this one if you are low in fighting skills) Reward is a mirror. A Necromancer at the tavern in Minoc who starts a chain quest, reward is a smith's hammer; A weapons maker in the Lyceum at Moonglow whose wife has become a werewolf, reward is a Wolf Slayer Dagger (not blessed, Draconi forgot to do that, I think) A man near the East Bank in Trinsic who has a problem, reward is a goblet of wine (if I remember correctly) An Arms Master at the paladin training facility in Trinsic who wants to show his young charges an example of fighting skill (you). This one is dangerous, as it involves fighting in sequence mongbats, imps and Daemons. Reward is a blessed Sash. ============== The Virtue Armor Quest that is currently in game starts in Magincia near the counsellor's guild and is quite involved, and takes the player to both Trammel and Felucca (cities only, though, and thus guard zones) and also requires hefty donations to the Moonglow Zoo, Britain Library, and Vesper Museum. The quest results in the Humility Cloak becoming your reward, if you are smart enough to think the quest through and act humbly. If you don't, you end up with a shield, instead. (no, I'm not providing more spoilers than that). One note: donations to the Britain Library require that you first acquire a Library Token, itself a dangerous chain quest that can get you killed in Ilshenar while hunting Speckled Scorpions. Not a quest for noobs. ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: paladin quests I used to have a knight of Compassion, takes ages to get up to knight, about 3 weeks, doin 5 a day. If you go to the orc caves, south of Yew, there is no timer on the NPC's in there. So you take them to their location, go back and get another. You have to do 5 twicea week to keep your knight status. But in spawns its really helpfull, stops res kills. I'm working on a knight of justice. Thats just a pain in the *** to keep up. Especially for a peace necro that can't really kill reds. |
