Help With Parry Training

I've been having some trouble training parry. I was wondering if anyone could post a guide they used, or how they trained their parry.

Re: Help With Parry Training

I GM'd parry pre-pub 16. Basically I went to the Bone Knight Room for hours. I GM'd Lumberjacking & Swords that way too

I don't know if it still works but you used to be able to have a guild mate cast Blade Spirits on you & just fight, heal & have your guild mate heal you too.

Re: Help With Parry Training

Your about 4 weeks too late. Used to be able to 120 parry at Jholem pits by just fighting female warriors whilst afk. But its fixed now, I need 120 parry. I'm at 80, wish I'd of trained earlier. You can train parry against sheep. You want 9 of them. Take a shield and wield a weapon which you have no skill in. You'll want a HP regen suit.

Re: Help With Parry Training

I trained my parry using hinds and greathearts total of 9 just attacking me. I have a lot of aids on me and hpr suit with self-repair of 3 or better, this way I only had to repair my armor only a couple times.

Re: Help With Parry Training

I'm training parry too. Attack monsters or animals and tab out of war mode. As long as they are hitting you, and you are holding a shield, you can gain.

Re: Help With Parry Training

Do you have to be equiped with a shield to parry an attack in general, I know it helps to train tho. But if I was PvPing would I need a shield to use parry. I've never used Parry to PvP with. Prefer Mages and archers

You can parry with a weapon but the chance to parry is reduced by half if I remember right.

Well that just stinks. I was going to ask also because I heard Parry was nerfed a while ago.

Re: Help With Parry Training

I just trained parry using a shield, some Dull copper plate armor my smith made (Dull copper for the higher Physical resist) I went into to Deceit I went into the dungon all the way to the back wall and turn right this will take you to an area where there are skeltons and a few mummies. Let these attack you with no weapon in hand just your sheild. If you have low or no healing skill you will want to take a mage friend with you to train so that they can keep you healed. I went from the 28 skill I bought from training and whent to GM in about 8 hours. I did this in a few different days and I had to repair my armor a few times but the gains where incredible.

Hope this helps you, If you are on Pacific I would be happy to show you the exact location.
