FC/FCR question?
I'm trying to understand FC/FCR caps. On a mage the cap is 2/6? For chiv spells is it 4/6?

uo.com is very outdated, and the best place to go for this is stratics, they have the most updated info, yet it is still outdated. I hope they try to fix this soon..

2/6 is 2 faster casting(fc) 6 faster casting recovery (fcr). Basically it acts as a ticker subtractor. Say a spell takes 4 seconds to cast, if you have 2fc, it will speed it up. Not too entirely sure on the exact ticks that each 1fc is tho. The fcr will help you be able to cast it sooner than if you had none. If you have 6fcr you could chain cast and not have to see the messege "you have not recovered from casting a spell" very often. Hope that helped some.

Last night, some gentleman was showing off his spellcasting abilities as a chiv mage. He was casting "cleanse by fire" so fast that by the time the first flame dissipated another was following suit, so it was like he was perma on fire or something. Pretty neat, but pretty ridiculous as well.

yes, it is that fast. You can also cast Conc Weap soo fast that the clinking sound of the second cast will begin before the last one ends. It was great for training up chiv hehe... throw on 4/6 and an LRC suit and just click away
