I am currently at:

106/110 Magery
101/110 EI
89/100 Scribe
86/110 Resist

this will total 545 when complete (I would love to find the 120 mage and ei scrolls...but that may be a while)

this means I will have roughly 175 points to use and have no real direction...I have a PvP char as is and this will just be an all around PvM spawner with the occasional guild PvP...what would be a good direction to go and why??

Poison will be useful in both PvM and PvP.

Hiding just 'cause there isn't much else you can get use out of with only 85 points unless you want to go with Chiv with 4/6 casting.

if its for spawning add necro/ss, drop scribe, and use a mage weapon...
make ur suit insane fire so u can go into vamp and be ok sometimes, then u can use wraith for whtiher spam too...

if its for pvp...many options

I'll make suggestions based on 120 skill point cap, but obviously that's expensive so just lower it as applicable (trying to have 110 at least if possible where I list 120).

If you were pvm I'd make this suggestion:

120 magery
120 eval
120 med
120 resist
100 inscirption
100 anatomy

If you were pvp, it gets tricker because it's hard to make a wrestle scribe mage without a 720 skill cap and putting all 120 on everything. Where I listed anatomy, you'd have wrestle and try to get it as high as possible (preferably at least 115 if you can).

My favorite mage of the many i have has 120 magery/eval/med/resist/wrestle and 100 inscription.

The reason it's such a powerful pvm template is it gets to use slayer spell books, and it can allow monsters to close with him and have him use harm spell to kill them close up while his wrestle (or if you had anat/eval) evade moster hits.

The formula for anat/eval is (anatomy+eval+20)/2, so 120 eval with 100 anatomy has the same hit evasion as 120 wrestle does but for 20 less skill points (and with no ability to punch).
