Archer pvp?

I've been playing with the idea of making an archer to pvp since i have some points laying around in soulstones. I was wondering if archers make good pvp characters, and if so, what is a decent build?

The day of the solo archer are gone IMHO, Archers are the easist of the Dexxer class for me to kill as a mage, HOWEVER -- Stealth Archers are very fun and make GREAT support characters for PvP. Here is what I run on my stealther:

120 Ninjitsu
100 Archery (120 with hunters on)
100 tactics
100 stealing
100 stealth (120 with shadow dancers on)
100 hiding
100 chiv

I run kinda an odd ball template with him, mostly because it's unique and annoying because I can steal. Hehe.

Necro archer ftw. You can kill anyone 1v1 with this template if you have the right gear. Obviously that is the difficult part, however, it can be done.

120 archery
120 ninjitsu
120 spirit speak
120 magic resist
120 necro

either 120 focus/med/ or another weapon skill for disarming.

Now here is where it's hard, cause in order to play this template, you need the appropriate gear, which costs a lot of gold.

A balanced bow with high hit fireball, HCI, HLD, SSI is a plus.
A 75% EP ring with 1 FC and HCI
A 3/1 bracelet with 20+ EP and either HCI/DCI
Inquisitors
Spirit of the totem
Rune beetle carapace
Leggings of bane if you need more HCI, if not then MR2 LMC barbed gear with stat bonuses and high resists
Gorget and sleeves with similar properties as your leggings to finish off the 70's suit.

Set your int to 90 or so, perhaps higher to 100? Then set ur dex and str accordingly so that when you drink a greater dex, you have 150 dex and then 115+ str when you drink a greater strength.

Use pots and spirit speak to stay alive.

Corpseskin, pain spike, strangle, poisonstrike, etc. Mortal strike when opponent is low, then deathstrike etc. Blood oath if a dexxer is all over your ass. This is a great template if you can get the right gear, and very capable in duels and on the field.

You may also forego magic resist and the 6th 120 skill for healing/anatomy if you feel like you need it to survive.
