Well, I have grown a bit tired of killing swoops lately and even more bored collecting dread spider silk for that beautiful white cloth it produces. So, I headed out Ilshenar for a little walk about.
I started in the Honesty Shrine area and headed west towards an abandonded tower that fronts the entrance to a dungeon. On the way I killed a few Juka Lords...they are some tough mofo's. I entered the dungeon and stayed in the dungeon a while, killing some ratmen mages, archers and riff raff. I only stayed because the ratmen in blue dropped 300+ gold and the ones in red 200+...the ones in grey dropped like 30+ so I ignored them. I lost track of one of the ratmen archers and got killed while I was revealed. I lost my lock picks.
After the ratman lair (more dangerous monsters as you went further into the dungeon..demons and such so I split), I headed towards the lizard man area...just to see it...and headed North after I infiltrated their camp. I sneaked the entire way and was never revealed.
On my way North I checked out the undead fort and saw nothing overly interesting. So, I proceeded North and passed the road leading West to the Humility shrine. I was heading towards a large cemetery. I found a good mix of undead to include lich lords...I decided to stick around a little bit and killed a few undead to include a lich lord. I had had enough and crept out towards the east as I wanted to take a look at a lava vent I spied on a map.
I had to sneak through champ spawn area so I took my time. The lava vent was neat...I guess....but not cool enough to keep me around for too long. So, I headed further east to a ratman lair that lies just south of the honesty shrine.
It was ok....nothing to get excited about...I just wanted to be able to say I saw it. I mean, it is just a lair in some ruins. I headed North past the road that leads east to the Honor shrine to an inn called "The Deuce's Viniculum." I decided to use this as my resting place for the night...but that would come later.
I headed to the North West to look around the Brigand camp....there are some evil mages...so I only killed a brigand and left. I spotted a healer hut on my way over and decided to take a peek. There was in fact a healer and this was something good to remember. As I was looking around, I spotted a wyvern lurking in the woods just to the East of the hut and decided to kill it....I killed it. Easy creature to kill with EVs.
I Then headed North West along the river to the entrance to a dungeon. This place had more undead and liches. So, I started killing a few in the entrance so I could take a look further in. I found a corridor that lead to a large room which had gazers and greater mongbats and decided to kill a bit of them. One of the gazers was a paragon and he was carrying a chest....so, I killed him. (I didn't know it had a chest until after I killed it). There were tons of chests and strong boxes in this dungeon and I didn't have any lock picks, so, I made a mental note to bring some tomorrow.
I decided to head back to the inn and call it a night. Did I mention the inn was pretty beat down...yeah, ugly place and the rooms had no doors. Everything downstairs looked to be of evil decor...red and skulls everywhere. I wonder if the brigands and the evil mages visit once in a while...wish there were doors here. I slept hidden.

Hmm. Day two...not as eventful as day 1. I died several times in this dungeon...stupid paragons are amazingly fast and hit retarded hard. I was a Lord ... not anymore. I even lost my white robes and cloak made from the cloth I gained from the Dread Spider Silk. Bottom line, today sucked and UO sucks and I hate stupid paragons because they suck. What is on tv!

:embarasse :embarasse Sorry... couldn't help it. That's just so like a man..... What's on TV!!! Funny!! Sorry you had a bad day though.. wasn't laughing at that.. just the way it hit me when you added that line about TV. Kiss it and make it all better... ???

Another neat place in Ilsh is the Elemental Cavern, or something like that.

Entrance is top left corner of the map. Stealth through the mess to get in and then there is a poison ele spawn, a ki-rin spawn (which is how I found it looking for a place to gather ki-rin brains), a nightmare spawn way in the back...just an all around neat place.

Well, it is the dungeon underneath what used to be a school of some sort...well, according to maps I have found online. Anyway, there is a spot where there is a blood elemental hanging around stairs...you go down the stairs and there is another blood elemental. So, I kill the one until a paragon spawns and then head to the other one and kill that one until another paragon spawns and then call it a day. Today kind of sucked because the lower one spawned a paragon after only one kill. I only made 16k today in that dungeon. Normally get twice that. Oh well.

Well, I got tired of hunting the same old spots (Swoops) and trying to get rares out of DOOM. I guess there is one lucky !!!!!!! out there that keeps getting that Hammer and all the good loot out of there...so I decided to do something different. I heard about Ilshenar being really danerous..so I said what the hell. Yes, it is dangerous and very annoying sometimes. Yesterday I was killing Titans and Cyclops Warriors...even the paragons (well not Paragon Titans). So, I am going to keep wandering around Ilshenar and see what else I find. If I find any sweet spots I will make sure I post about it.
