Leather Dye Tub That Can Dye Cloth?

Are they legal? Is clothing dyed by them considered illegal?

A friend is offering me one and I don't want it if there is a chance of getting my account banned.

If I am not mistaken, there was a bug a while back whereby one could produce these rarities. I may or may not own one myself, and I may or may not have used it to dye cloth, but the colors may or may not have been the same as you would get with a normal tub.

I may or may not be wrong or right about this, though. I don't know the legality of owning said item, sorry.

They are legal, sell them to an NPC tailor and buy back.
Only a GM can fix it.

What is the point, if they end up dying the same colors as a normal dye tub?

They dont dye the same color as a normal dye tub they dye the leather dye tub colors... you can also dye stuff vet reward robe/cloak colors.
