Re: Dong Dong the death bell sounds.....

Telling real from fake is simple. Take the event item shrouds for example, which seem to be the big fuss lately. The Violet Courage purple one, once home on Baja, read "Glorious Lady's - Shroud of the Champion" with 10 Physical Resist, and 5 Cold Resist, and is Blessed. The "duped" version of it would only have the rare color of the shroud, and read "Hooded Shroud of Shadows" with the weight. I'm pretty sure you can't bless them with a clothing bless deed, and I sure wouldn't waste an item bless on it so that isn't confirmed. But I know you can use a personal bless deed on the, by hovering these tacky colored game ruiners.

From what I know, here is a list of the duped items I've seen over on Great Lakes:

Invulnerability Blue Shroud
Violet Courage Purple Shroud
Dark Green Shroud

Hooded Shroud of Shadows, Shadow Dancer Black (look for the insured)
Hooded Shrouds of Umbra's, funny Green Color (look for the insured)

Glacial Hued Bandana (just says Bandana and normal resists)
Glacial Hued Long Pants (just says long pants)
Glacial Hued Spellbook (0 Spells, doesn't say Blessed)

Dark Bluish/Teal Spellbook (Again, 0 Spells, doesn't say Blessed)

And of course you can add in all the weapons.

I'm pretty sure anything wearable that's an "event item" is what they're copying. So the only suggestion is, if you have anything high in demand that's a special hue (Europa Guard Sashes too!) no matter how much they pay, keep them to yourselves, maybe this could stop them! These players have tons of gold and pretty much no limit!

Hope this helps.

Re: Dong Dong the death bell sounds.....

I don't buy very many truly rare items, but I found a few in IDOCs. I am going to have to just believe they are as real as they can be and let it be, since I don't plan on selling or anything, it won't matter a whole lot.. unless a GM happens by, sees something in my house that isn't real and gets on me over it. Guess that's not real likely, but I don't plan to change and just hide stuff either. What's the point in having nice things if you can't display them?

Re: Dong Dong the death bell sounds.....

I didn't mean HIDE them, hell I have quite a few items on display, and some are debatable. But I'm saying, if it's something as I decribed where it by all means, just don't let the dupers get their hands on it. That's what I was trying to say.

Some of my favorites are "a fishing weight" "a bird" from the plant resources.

Re: Dong Dong the death bell sounds.....

Its my understanding, that so long as the item is locked down it cant be duped.. as of yet. But if the get the actual item in their pack, they can dupe it at will, unforunately :/

Re: Dong Dong the death bell sounds.....

The items have to be worn in order to be "duped".
