Well, I used to keep a thread on our own guild forums, but now that we have moved over here, I suppose I should put my house design thread now in the right place! I used to also occassionally put some designs up over on the stratics threads as well, but I think since I cleaned up my photo archive they all went kerfluey.

So, instead of posting the screens themselves here, I think maybe it's better to just post the link to my photobucket albums so you can look in there. I have both really really old icky stuff I did while I was first learning and my latest works go there. Unfortunately, I haven't put up the compilation pic of my absolutest latest set of designs, but if you want to see, they are on Marble Island of Europa shard. (pretty obvious too which houses are my design on the island, just wander about).

I hope you enjoy, and I'd love to hear some constructive feedback on them, and if there is anything I can do to make them better!

PS oh yeah, sorry, I have lots of other old screens in there... so you might need to just skip by those.. and it's divided into subalbums so make sure to look in the subalbulms under "UO", which should be like "Crumbling Continent", "Marble Island", and "Naeloth"... or something like that.

damien, yes I am excited about new tiles ! I do have a couple places I am thinking of redoing slightly, mainly the naeloth library and maybe the poisoned elf tavern.

i tried some things out with them in the homebuilder program, but I'm still not sure quite what to do with the glacial ice tiles. mixing them seem to be slightly different than with other tiles because of their "neon" quality. (the shadow tiles are great though!) i kindof wish they had made some other colors of ice, to at least make it have some more variation! interior deco in there will be also be interesting. I can see that some things will look great in the ice, but some I think will maybe look a little out of place without a bit of work and imagination. I'm just not sure I will redo any of my currently standing houses with it, as I'm pretty happy as they are, but we'll see!


(speaking of which, anyone know if it's ok to convert a grandfathered house to customizable without losing the other houses on the account? I'm a little worried about trying it)

so, I've finally put up the "overview" pic of Tir na Nog.. aka Marble Isle
(note, the orange thing is not one of mine...nor are the castle & tower.. but wow, if they could do something that fit in with the rest it would be stunning there.. but ok, it's a dream, and not everybody likes my styles I just would love to work both of the EA buildings into the designs more)

And How did you get an Overview like that of your house? Is there someway to pan out camera in game? Because that is cool!

i ran around and made screenshots and pieced them together in paint and reduced the size in stretch/skew.. was a pain in the ..... to do to! i really really wish there was an easier way
