Question about housing, and some possible design help.

Well, first off, I just got my first house on UO. One thing that I'm having trouble with, is it's right next to another house, so when I customize, it's hard to get stuff on the east side because of the other house being in the way of my view. Is there anyway to get the other house off my view so I can see the blocked portion?

Second off, I've come to the conclusion that I'm terrible at designing houses. I was wondering if anyone could possibly make some screenshots to help me design my house. It's a 10x15 plot (10 east to west, 15 north to south). Thanks all.

When in Customize mode, you should be able to build your house just fine, regardless whethere a house is next door obstructing normal view.

When placing stuff down to the east side, with that house in the way, go to your paperdoll, Options, then 4th button down on the left, click on Circle of Transparency. This will let you see through everything to place items down where you want them, whether behind walls or not.

Hope this helped.

Yeah, I knew about the circle of transparency, but in the UOKR client it's not very useful, since you can't change the size.

Well, as far as the customization, I don't really have any ideas in mind at all. So pretty much, whatever goes as far as that.
