Placing items where house steps should be

How is this possible? I've seen it done on several houses but I'm unable to do it myself. I know you can lock items down under the signpost but HOW do you do it all the way along?! I'm talking normal items btw, not the statues or hanging lanterns.

Re: Placing items where house steps should be

try using your circle of transparency, place the item and lock it down. I THINK this will work:]

If its not to much trouble Risso could you post a pic of one of those houses that you've seen with stuff on the steps, just so its clear what you are attempting?

Thanks,

Re: Placing items where house steps should be

Heres one, I forgot to take screenshots of the others and this isn't exactly what I'm looking for..although the red deed is locked down in front of the steps I'm looking for how to actually place items on the grass instead of steps if that makes any sense

PS If you look closely you can see the house has a llama design on the roof..its pretty amazing

Re: Placing items where house steps should be

Is it possible the house was placed after an IDOC dropped, and the item on the grass was locked down with placing of the new plot? I've seen items stuck under the house sign that way. Never saw one that far out though. Just a thought.

Hmm, maybe lock down item on steps, go into design and remove them? (Just guessing)

Re: Placing items where house steps should be

Well if you go to Drachenfells luna, you will see several items locked down out of the house, including 2 2-story statues... I would also like to know how they do this

Hmmm....I was hoping a pic would help but I've got no clue how that is done....I don't think I've ever seen that on chessy.
