 | need help with picture I copied this pic from the forums. I cannot find it now. I am trying to recreate this idea of the lighthouse and dock. If anyone out there would be willing to give me a step by step walk thru (if the owner of this house would do it, that would be awesome), I would greatly appreciate it. |

| Re: need help with picture There was a nice tutorial on the Stratics Homes & Castles forum for making 10 story tower & other optical illusions, but alas it is no more. However, Surindur on Stratics likes making optical illusion houses. Here is a lighthouse & dock example he/she posted this week:  Perhaps if you sent a PM to that person, they would give some instructions on the actual mechanics of creating the illusion. Miss Echo also dabbles with optical illusions. Here is a pic of one of her evil citadels which was a sort of "fun house" with trap doors and such.  She has deco tutorials on her website...if asked, it is possible she might be persuaded to make a tutorial on optical illusion towers in custom housing.  *edit* Found a pic of Ziggy the Weird's 10 story tower which I believe was the spark for the now lost optical illusion tutorial thread on Stratics.  -Skylark Last edited by skylark; 22nd July 2008 at 08:47 AM.. |

From what Surindur posted, the lighthouse illusion plot is actively standing - you could always post or send a PM to request shard & coordinates, and request a tour if possible. I linked to the user profile on Stratics. I don't think Miss Echo's evil citadel is still around, but I know she is still playing, because she still posts her designs here & on Stratics, plus her own web site. However, I am not sure if Ziggy the Weird who designed the mega 10 story tower even still plays - I grabbed that screenie a long time ago from the forums. -Skylark | |
