![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The How-To's Of Decorating Ok, here we go! A friend of mine showed me how to make this last year and it's one of my favorite decorations! Hanging Violet Plant *This one can be a little tedious and take a little time* You will need: -Small Crate -Bag (NOTthe backpack type) -Axe -Bola (complete, not just the ball) -Bowl of Lettuce -Inshave -Nightshade x4 -Springs from an NPC x2 -Springs that were player made x2 -Wide Brim Hat x2 -Interior Decorator -Mount (ethy works too, I'll explain later) -One free tile beside a wall How to do it: **Note: This deco looks best on North walls. 1. Place inshave on the tile you choose. Lock it down and use the Interior Decorator to raise it as high as it will go. 2. Place the bola and lock it down. Raise it 13 times. 3. Place the bag, lock it down and raise it 6 times. 4. Do not open the bag, but drop into it the NPC springs. Raise the bag 2 times. 5. Drop the player made springs into the bag and raise the bag 1 time. 6. Drop 2 nightshade inside the bag and raise the bag 1 time. 7. Drop the crate into the bag. Raise the bag 1 time up. Then lower it 1 time. 8. Open the bag and drop into the crate, in this order - 1 Wide Brim Hat, Bowl of Lettuce, 1 Wide Brim Hat 9. Release just the crate and chop it with the axe. (Things will start to look messy here, but don't worry!) 10. Lock down the bowl of lettuce at the one hat that is showing. 11. Mount your horse and redraw the image. This will cause the second hat to pop up on top. Lock the hat down. 12. Drop last 2 Nightshade into the bag and raise the bag up 1 time. 13. Release the bag and chop it with an axe. 14. Lock down the 2 sets of springs and the nightshade and you have yourself a hanging Violet! ~~~~~~~ A lot of people ask me why all the mounting and raising, so I will quickly explain. Mounting a horse in UO does what is called a re-draw. It's like resetting the graphics that you are seeing. In this case, in order to bring the other hat that is not locked down to the top, you must re-draw the graphics that you are seeing. Raising and lowering objects changing the position they are in. So in order to get the springs, nightshade, bowl, etc into the right position, it's necessary to force the client to push them around inside the bag. This can be made without all of these steps, but this is the best way to get flawless results.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: The How-To's Of Decorating I'd like to add a comment to your taps Epona! Those look wonderful and you can modify them by putting a small barrel with water under them if you wanted a water tap. Very cute!
