How do i make these?

I want to know how to make these parts. If anyone could explain it maybe with screenshots that'd be great. Im guessing this is a cut off piece from the stairs? I know how to work with the stairs but cant seem to get this right without deleting it. I really want to imply these in what i hope to be my first real design achievement. Also if its not the stairs im guessing its the pillars you can place, the big fat ones hehe, but how to cut those off??? No idea

only the fern is rubble so you should still look good with the roof

You don't have to be limited to the roof tiles and plants on those corner posts either. I placed gozas on mine, raised them up to look like a shelf and placed lanterns on them. It adds a nice effect when it gets dark.

Yes Gwenyth i was going to do that ;) Ive got lot of ideas to make my new house, but still havent tested any of it yet

Ill post a screenshot maybe next week or in 2 weeks, depending on the succes rate of it all.
