Hey there interior designers!

Need some advice.. I'm soooooo deco/design challenged as you can see from this screenie. The bedroom is very, hmmm.. linear.. any suggestions as to how I can spice it up a bit?? For example, what can I do with the southern side of the room to balance out the top-heavy northern wall? Are there low tables available with the ML expansion so that I can put one in the sitting area where the brown bear rug is?

Any tips are appreciated!!

Some plain campions always compliment a certain part of the building, and bring life.. Try placing snowdrops raised twice on top of them on top of water troughs? Not sure if you can walk through those chair types, I don't do elf stuff.. Maybe two hanging plants from each corner in the front area on the bottom floor or top? Not sure if you like gozas but they might look decent between the chairs..

Re: Hey there interior designers!

Thanks Zynia! I'll play around with the suggestions. I was hoping there would be new plants with the ML expansion, but I haven't seen any. The new elven craftables take some getting used to.. I partially deco'd my house on Siege last night and it came together much better than the one pictured above on Sonoma.

Castles and courtyards is a great site. I get much deco advice from it. The tutorials are fantatsic and easy to follow. I will have to check out some of the other sites.

Hehe your welcome. Took over 24 pages? I dont remember, of google searching "customize housing" and "ultima online decorating" and any other ways of saying them both to find them. Unfortunately most that I found were broken. Not that many sites left out there for this kind of stuff.

Re: Hey there interior designers!

I don't really like the idea of it. It's a complete rip off of UO Cafeteria items with their name saying they made it. Melph and Sio good people and all but nope. I might not be able to read japanese but I can see the same items on both pages, and I know UO Cafe been there longer.

Hmmm, I will think about this. It is important to know, that from an artistic expression, it is best to understand perspective. My mom doesn't play UO, but she is an artist, and when I started designing our home, she took one look and said...."V" perspective. What she means is that you are looking into the game picture of UO into a upside down "V." So, you have to design and place everything so that it welcomes you into the perspective. For example, things look best placed on the west and north walls. Your eye is then welcomed into....the picture....and not blocked. Kinda Feng Shui stuff. Don't worry about any bare walls on the north sides of south walls.

You could, however, use your circle of transparency and place a couple of tables on the north side of the south wall in that living area, with some personal items atop those same tables. When you turn off the circle of transparency, you will get just a slither of something being there, but not taking up space in the room or blocking movement in and around the room.

I will see if I got a picture of some thing like this that I can post to show you later.
