How do I take a screenshot of my new house design and post it here? Can anyone please leave detailed instructions for a computer dummie like me. Thank you for the help.

There are pic taking programs out there, I don't know where to get them, but they're easier than my method.

What I do is:

Hit the "Print Screen" button (top right of keyboard, above "Home", "End", etc. next to "Insert")

Open up MS Paint (Start Menu to "Programs" to "Accessories")

Then hit Ctrl+v or go "Edit" to "Paste"

Uploading the pic to the site should be as easy as making a post then adding the file under the attachment section.

If you have Vista, it has a built-in screenshot tool called the Snipping Tool. Just search for "snipping tool" in the start button search box.

My favorite tool for Windows (though not free) is SnagIt - though they do have a free 30 day trial: http://www.techsmith.com/screen-capture.asp

A free tool I've had luck with in the past is Screenshot Captor -

And of course, like DiP said, there's always the PrintScreen key (also - holding ALT while pressing PrintScreen will capture just the active window, while pressing PrintScreen alone will capture your entire screen).

I use SnagIt too... it's great.

You're welcome! I ended up putting the snipping tool shortcut in Vista into my quick launch bar at the bottom left of the toolbar, so it's easy to get to.
