Decorating a castle

It only took about 2 years, and a zillion gold or so. But, I am close to done - I think. This is a castle in Yew, Trammel on Europa. I don`t like too much bells and whistles and blinking lights etc, so it might be too minimalistic for many The strange thing is that I have tried to decorate 18x18 before, but I find it`s easier to decorate smaller rooms, like those in a small tower - or a castle.

I also like that each room has a function. Have a look and tell me what you think. Not all rooms are 100% yet, there are a few that still is too barren, even for my taste I have borrowed ideas here and there, mostly from Castles and Courtyards, and have also come up with some things on my own.

Kitchen

The guest bedroom

Hall first floor

Bedroom and study

The main user of the castle is a rp character with a long history on the shard, the religion of the Avatar being one she has learned. IC she of course do not own it, just manage it.

The meeting hall was one of the rooms that was made first, as I hosted a rp event called the Festival of Tales. It worked well for the occasion.

And finally, the roof

If you want to see it ingame, head to Europa - Yew moongate then go straight south. It`s the second castle from gate. Cords are 59 19 N 34 6 W. Personally I think it looks better ingame than on pics, but I`m biased..

What I am most content with is the study, since that is sorta my own creation, namely this little combination:

And by that creating storage space without that storage to be overly visual and dominating. I also found a way to break up the gray tiles a bit, like this:
but extensive use of goza mats didn`t work well other places. I also found a use for some goza mats in the meeting hall , and spent a long time finding the correct colour tone to the elven love seats.

Re: Decorating a castle

Thanks all, much appreciated

What I would like to add some day is an old style fishtank. It was one of the first things that caught my eye when I started. I was amazed at the creativity in creating one of those. I just need to figure out where to put it..
