I just got finished placing/customizing/decorating my new 18X18 house. The entire process took about all day... The problem is, this is my first custom house, so I made some mistakes.

These include,
Doors opening the wrong way
Places being "Blocked" due to small walls I used to seperate different places
Teleporters porting to the wrong locations
Stairs facing the wrong direction
and a few others...

I want to fix these mistakes, but hitting the recustomize button tells me I have to re deed all my addons.. Does this mean my entire house design is going to be scrapped? I was to make a few small changes, but do not want to have to rebuild from the ground up. The house cost 900k, im down to 120ish, and dont want to spend any more money on it ^^

Sorry about the newbie question, I am a returning player from 5 years ago, and taking advantage of the fact that the world is less populated. I was amazed when I placed this house, and thankful I had enough money left over on my characters (and not in my old house..which collapsed over that 5 year break ;p) We didn't have customizable houses back then! and I was happy with a sandstone!

Also.. When i first got back a week ago, the first thing I did was place a villa, thinking it was returning newbs luck that I was able to find a big enough spot for one. A villa was something you would NEVER get a chance to actually "place" back 5 years ago.. so it was kind of jump of the gun there. This villa is now a plot of land 11X11 (I decided to play with it) In fellucca, on the crossroads. (Is it still called crossroads? Desert southeast of britian past the swamp) Obviously, it is condemned with my new house going up, and I need to get rid of it. So what is the price check for...

So far 400k has failed me (This would have sold for 1-2 mil back when i played! that was a gamble..) I am not sure what to sell it for. Or even if it is sellable! I think the deed alone for placing it was 167k.. redeed would give me 72 back (These are somewhat educated guesses, i dont remember exactly) Should i bother trying to sell it or just redeed and count my losses?

If you saved your current design you should have absolutely no problem going into customize mode and replacing all those little errors.

As for add ons, elven furniture etc,if I remember right ,releasing them will send them to your relocation box ,but it may be easier to keep track of them if you just remove them before hand.

To be perfectly honest and frank,I would redeed it and get some gold back that way.

There is very little call for housing in Fel these lean times

Also the new elven items must be redeed. If you have the fountain of Life, this must also be redeed.

and parrots! it tells at the bottom fo the screen what you need to remove in order to hop back into customizng.... I did not constally fixing stuff hehe

Elven furniture is fine like the beds but the elven containers have to be redeeded or taken down, aquariums, fountains (considered a container) and parrots.
If you place a thing like the stairs or doors and notice that they are facing the wrong way you can just use the erase tool and then replace the right direction before closing out the customizing.
As for the teleporters, I usually place one at a time. For example, I place one on the first floor and then I go to the floor I want it to go to and then place an identical telepad on that floor. The pictures have to match.

That's important. Say you have 4 teleporters, all the same design. When you walk on to one, it will randomly tele you to another of the same design. You could tele around a few times before you get to where you want to be lol.

Just to clarify. If I have a house, I customized it, I confirmed the design and placed it; when I press customize again what happens?

Do I lose the entire design? Do the items inside disappear? Do I have to pay for the walls/floors all over again?

I'm most concerned about the items and the paying. If I have to redesign the thing entirely and pay for it all over again, I won't do it. But if I JUST pay for the additions, and have to option to quit customizing if I choose to leave it alone, can I without penalty and still have my old house?
