I really like the plants we got a couple years ago & Poinsetta's *sp*.

I haven't finished decorating yet Tab, but today is my last class for the semester! So I have time to game again. woohoo!

I really like the classic UO Christmas Tree I think it so much more beautiful than the modern. When I put the tree in my house it just puts me in a really nice Christmas mood. I do have a request though I wish UO would come up with a music box or something that plays Holiday music. Little songs like Jingle Bells or Deck the Halls. I think that would be so cute dont you.

Other than the Christmas tree, I really miss seeing the Capiz parol (lantern), almost every house had one in display back in the Philippines. I'm thinking of having one shipped, but I don't think they'll last through the long trip.

Here's a little info on Capiz shells.

Capiz is a natural product. This material comes from a marine bivalve having translucent shells, which are commonly called mother-of-pearl shells. They thrive in coastal waters, particularly in Capiz, a province in Panay island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Capiz faces the Sibuyan Sea to the North and bordered by Aklan and Antique to the west, and Iloilo to the south. In 1570, Miguel Lopez de Legaspi became the governor-general of Las Islas Filipinas and moved his seat of government from Cebu to Capiz, which is closer to a more progressive place called May-Nilad Lusong (now called the island of Luzon) in the North, which he planned to invade. Spanish technologists used the large shells, which are by-products of their bountiful harvests from the nearby delta, as translucent material for window panes. The design caught on, and even to this day, Capiz shells are used in numerous products and ornaments.

My favorite decoration is a ornament my mom had made of me and my sisters 20 years ago. I would post it, but i'm rockin a mullet almost haha

I thought you were talking about UO decorations too, Sorry. In that case my favorite decoration is a Christmas Ornament made my Grandmother. She passed away last year so the ornament is really special to me.

My favourite would have to be an odd little set of handcrafted wooden decorations my partner and I bought a few years ago from a market - the cutest little set of angels, some snowmen, santas, they have a nicer feel than any of our modern decorations, and really set the tree off nicely .

i'm quite fond of popcorn strings on trees.

My favorite is a little stuffed rocking horse with buttons as it's rocker. (I know, it doesn't quite make sense) My mother hand made our ornaments when we were small so the tree would be 'child' friendly and still only decorates with the hand made ornaments....so it's now 'pet & grandchild' friendly.

As a kid I loved a tree ornament which my parents brought back from their visit to China. It was a koi, and it had blue/lightgreen stripes (stripes were metal layers over eachother.. hard to explain).

What I also loved were fancy balls, but uh... well, let´s say I don´t blame my parents or my fiance for not letting me hold anything fragile.
But I still love em.
