You guys can rent a uhaul truck, with that piece on the end of it. I would price it before you give up on the idea.

Congrats RMS, you may want to check out Penske, hubby and I rented a 16 foot truck with a tow dolly to go over the dried up river and through the cactus woods from Phoneix to Vegas today and the truck and dolly hauling a Neon worked great. The deal we got had unlimited miles on it and we could rent it for extra days etc. it was about $300 ish for 4 days. So you may want to check them out if you need a truck cause they had a way better deal than U Haul. Good luck and enjoy the weather I bet its nice there! Im still oh so home sick for the Oklahoma farm.

Oo thank you for that suggestion!! We will have to look for that just hope there is a drop off for the truck down there is all I am worried about I know for sure there is for U-Haul

Yeah we happened to have a drop off but as far as U Haul went read the fine print, the web site said they would give us X amount of miles but if we went over we would be charged 0.70 cents per mile and they didnt give an obvious option to keep the truck more than 3 days, beware of pick up days too we had to get ours on a Saturday cause everything was closed on Sunday so we wasted a whole day on it just cause of that. Ryder is only local now and Budget I think couldnt tow or something, I eliminated them right off. I checked PODs too if your rich and crazy and can live w/o your stuff. I told hubby after this move we will never buy furniture and r throwing some stuff away cause we have atleast 2 more moves before we are in our house on the AF base.

Going to check with parents to hope maybe have a Penske or however you spell it... drop off down there... I really hope so
