Today is my daughter's birthday. She is having a slumber party with an 'unlucky' theme. We already have a real black cat, and her cake is shaped like a black cat. We stuck a ladder against the wall, and hung a cracked mirror. We rented a ton of horror movies for them to watch tonight too.

I can't wait until about one in the morning, after they are wired on sugar and watching scary movies. I plan to sneak outside and around the house to scare the pants off them. I just hope they don't mace me or something. lol

Friday the 13th and full moons usually make for pretty wild nights in emergency rooms...yesterday really wasnt that bad at all though. Of course, I couldnt take an x-ray to save my own life, but thats what the day is all about

The kid and her friend spent the night in the den, camping out on the floor. I waited until they were good and creeped out by the scary movies. Then I went around scratching at the windows. At one point my kiddo said, "I bet it is my mom," so there was a bit of a race for me to dash around the house so I could get into my bed undetected. Finally, after a bit of this, I waited til they settled down a bit, then burst into the room, screeching like a banshee. I scared the pants off them. It was great!

Lol, it always seems strange when people talk about black cats being bad luck. It's funny how the same thing's bad luck in America and good luck in England.

I've always felt Friday the 13th was my lucky day... and one of my daughters loved to have slumber parties on it for her school friends.. always adding scary movies to enjoy then too.
