I won't lie - I've been invited to play many other games and I continually turn the offers down because there is no housing. That is one of the biggest draws for me to UO. I don't know why I like it, but I know I would not want to play a game without it... not long term at least.

But you are right - I kill monsters for loot... ie loot I can decorate with!

Only monster looted and enhanced plate arms can be used to make standing armor... Plates of cookies from the lil ratmen... and of course, the large whips from the orcs... If they keep vines on the whipping vines, I'll be killing those too

Is it just me or does no one seem to remember the tragedy known as Third Dawn? Sorry but it looks like the same, sucky, and neglected gameplay with 1990s graphics.

PS: Been an avid reader for months. I quit UO a while back but read the forums to keep up with my first MMO love.

Sorry for the double post, but I can hardly say this game is skill based. Unless you have artifacts, your gear is pretty much garbage. EA doesn't care about the skills. Of course they've added some new ones but they're just hybrids of the old ones. I can count on both hands skills that are neglected and now considered useless. I think gameplay comes before graphics. Obviously EA doesn't see things my way.
